COMMMUNIQUÉ - MUA ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF NICHOLAS LUTAKOME AS NEW COUNTRY CEO - UGANDA

MUA’s Group CEO, Joerg Weber, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Lutakome as the new Country CEO and Principal Officer of MUA Uganda.

Nicholas Lutakome has over 19 years of experience in the Ugandan insurance sector, including several executive leadership positions. He was most recently Chief Executive Officer of CIC General Insurance (U) Ltd, a leading Cooperative Insurer in Africa. Previously he was CEO at Sanlam Allianz Life Insurance (U) Ltd, where he also held several leadership roles over an eleven-year period. His professional affiliations include the Insurance Training College (UG) and the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

Commenting on this new appointment in Uganda, Joerg Weber said, “Nicholas Lutakome possesses the requisite skills and leadership experience to ensure we meet our strategic objectives in a dynamic market, with excellent opportunities for growth and insurance penetration.
